This report emerged from “Youth cafés in Ireland: a best practice guide” and details the steps involved in setting up a youth café. The toolkit provides advice on 11 core elements including activities/programmes for a youth café, role of staff and volunteers in a youth café, training for staff, volunteers and young people, and design and location of the youth café building. These 11 steps are based on the founding principles of youth cafés and the human rights of young people.
